Rimbalo

Terms of use

Diamond Edge LLC · Version 1.0, in effect from October 5, 2026

The app

Rimbalo is a dictation app for iPhone and Android, made by Diamond Edge LLC. It turns speech into text on the phone, and with a pack, sets out what you dictated as the pack’s document. When you get it from the App Store, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies together with these terms; from Google Play, Google Play’s Terms of Service do. These terms add to that agreement; where the two differ, the store’s agreement governs your licence to the app.

What is free

Dictation is free, with no account and no limit, and it stays free. So are the commands “Scratch that”, “Cap that”, “New paragraph” and “New line”, and sharing a dictation as text.

One Year and the packs

Your words and documents

What you dictate, type and share is yours, and Diamond Edge never receives it through the app. Your word list is a file in a published format, so you can take it anywhere.

You check what it writes

Speech recognition makes mistakes, and Rimbalo writes down what it heard. A pack takes dates, amounts and other values from your words by fixed rules and asks you to confirm or correct each number before you sign, but the document is yours to read, correct and sign. Rimbalo does not give legal, financial, medical or other professional advice, and each pack’s memo describes the software, not what your rules ask of you.

Licences

Rimbalo uses software and speech models from others under their own licences, listed in the app under Licences. The app, its packs and the Rimbalo name are © Diamond Edge LLC.

The unexciting but necessary part

The app is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, Diamond Edge’s liability is limited to what you paid for it in the 12 months before the claim. These terms are governed by the law of Utah, and disputes go to the courts of Utah County, Utah, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring them there. If a clause is unenforceable, the rest stands. A change to these terms is dated and versioned here and noted in the app’s release notes.
